birth support

homebirth care

When you book me for your homebirth, I am on-call 24/7 from 36-weeks gestation to attend your labour and birth at home. Homebirth care is only available in conjunction with full-continuum care.

The fee for homebirth care is $3,800.00 (in addition to appointments, see fee schedule for more details), 50% of which is payable at booking to secure my on-call availability. The fee includes payment of a second midwife to attend your birth, birth pool and liner hire and use of all other necessary equipment for your birth, including for emergency management. Unfortunately, Medicare rebates for homebirth are not available at this time (feel free to write to the Health Minister about that). Homebirth with a private midwife is a costly (but valuable) service. I offer gift cards in my online retail store, should you wish to contribute towards the care of a loved one.

hospital birth support

If you need, or choose, to have your baby in hospital, I can still provide your antenatal and postnatal care in your home and attend your birth as a support person. This service is only available in conjunction with full-continuum care. During your labour and birth in hospital, I will not be providing your clinical midwifery care, this will be provided by hospital staff. I will be present to provide support, guidance and advocacy as needed.

The fee for in-hospital birth support is $2,500.00 (in addition to appointments, see fee schedule for more details), 50% of which is payable at booking to secure my on-call availability. No Medicare rebate is available. I offer gift cards in my online retail store, should you wish to give the gift of midwifery care to a loved one.
