full-continuum care

Full-continuum care is a requirement of booking my birth support services. Full-continuum care involves a commitment to receive a minimum number of antenatal and postnatal appointments. The minimum number of appointments will be adjusted depending on your gestation at booking. The minimum care requirement is in place to ensure that:

  • clients who book birth support services receive adequate care throughout their pregnancy and postpartum;

  • we are able to build a professional, trusting relationship synonymous with continuity of care, and;

  • I am adequately compensated when taking on birth support clients.

The table below reflects the minimum care schedule. Looking at your gestation on the left-hand side, you can determine the minimum number of appointments required. You are welcome to have more appointments either antenatally or postnatally if you wish.
